Affordable apartments near Camping World Stadium get financing
A partnership of affordable-housing groups, LIFT Orlando, secured $36 million to construct 200 apartments near Orlando’s Camping World Stadium west of downtown, with the aim of mixing renters from various income levels, including some transitioning from homelessness.
To be called Pendana at West Lakes, rents on 160 subsidized units are expected to start at $550 for a one-bedroom. The remainder will reflect market rents and possibly range from $750 for a one-bedroom to $1,100 for three bedrooms, officials said. Construction started in January with completion slated for April 2018.
