The vacating of Chapman Homes allowed the Housing Authority to consider the Chapman site for redevelopment of Patriot Pointe. The Housing Authority continues to improve its housing stock through major renovation of existing properties or complete re-development. The new housing consists of 100, 1 bedroom, 1 bath units and twenty, 2 bedroom 1 bath units. 80 of the units provide project-based rental assistance subsidy and 15 units will be subsidized through PHA annual contributions contract subsidy. 5 units will be rented at market rates with no restrictions. All of the new units will meet the Section 8 Housing Quality Standards, accessibility standards, as well as Earthcraft design guidelines for sustainability and efficiency.
