Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000 per year

Position Summary:

The position is for an architecture school graduate with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in architectural practice; responsible for project tasks under the direct supervision of a Project Coordinator, manager or team leader. In consideration of prior experience, site planning, schematic design and design development skills are weighed equally with production experience.

BIM experience and proficiency is required. Adept at basic digital applications (Bluebeam, Excel, Word, etc.).

Education/ Professional Status:

Bachelor of Science in Arch.; B. of Arch. or Masters of Arch.
Pursuing professional track: NCARB file (AXP) should be initiated

Project Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Refined skills for site analysis, site planning, schematic design, and design development task under supervision.

• Digital graphic production and intermediate BIM production ability.

• Understand and comply with office communication standards.

• Beginning knowledge of architectural services, scope, code requirements and construction techniques.

• Communicate task progress and issues to supervisors.

Project delivery:

• Capable of organizing and creating professional quality design solutions with general supervision.

• Understands the scope for SD, DD and CD documentation and produces the same with supervision.

• Beginning capability to produce professional quality CDs (in BIM).

• Understand the scope of the task and review the same with the PA or PC.

• Intermediate understanding of the scope associated with 30%, 60%, 90%, and For-Construction sets.

• Intermediate understanding of basic building construction assemblies, techniques, and Codes.

• Responsible for individual adherence to the firm’s BIM and technical standards.

• Intermediate knowledge of consultant coordination and scope of their services.

• Review own work for completeness and adherence to directions.

• Responsible for completing quality work in a timely fashion to meet deadlines.

Soft Skills:

• Has a critical eye for design and execution.

• Able to decipher critical information and execute the requested task.

• Willingness to put in extra work as needed to meet goals and milestones.
