At JHP, we’ve long been recognized for our expertise in planning and designing vibrant communities — seamlessly integrating residential, retail, entertainment, and more. Hospitality design and service concepts have always been woven into our work. However, we saw a gap; while we designed for hospitality experiences, we weren’t directly serving hotels as destinations.
To bridge that gap and better serve the developers and fellow placemakers we partner with, we’ve launched the JHP Hospitality Studio — led by trusted industry veterans Bob Bullis, FAIA, and Monica Miranda, AIA serving as JHP’s Hospitality Principal. Bob is no stranger to JHP; he spent 12 years here earlier in his career. His return brings deep hospitality expertise and a shared passion for Whole Community Design.
Now, we’re fully equipped to serve our clients across every component of a mixed-use or destination development. And it’s already making a difference! In recent planning assignments, the addition of hotel expertise has enabled our team to design more efficient, connected entertainment districts. With a solid understanding of hotel operations, ADR’s effect on profitability, amenity requirements by hotel type, and knowledge of evolving traveler expectations, we can now seamlessly integrate hotel proformas into our broader community plans.
We’re excited to offer a more complete, informed service — one that builds stronger, more viable destinations from the ground up!
