We’d like you to meet the evolved brand for JHP Architecture and Urban Design.
For more than 45 years, JHP has designed places by starting with people. As our practice has evolved, our brand needed to do the same, to better reflect the innovation, intention, and human-centered thinking that define our work today.
This new identity is an expression of that clarity.
The Handmade Mark
Our new wordmark was custom-built to reflect JHP’s thoughtful, people-first approach. The symmetrical curves of the J and P balance the wider H at the center, creating a sense of stability and longevity. These qualities have defined our firm for decades.
Each letter features a subtle 45-degree notch, drawing the eye upward. These angles represent innovation and intention, while also reflecting a core belief: meaningful design happens in the space between people, place, and destination.
A Palette Inspired by Place
The color palette draws directly from natural building materials in the environments we design—stone, sky, plaster, brick, slate, light and shadow.
These colors are calm and timeless, intended to highlight our work rather than compete with it. Like the buildings we design, the palette is restrained. This palette allows projects, people, and context to take center stage.
Our Process Made Visible
Several custom supporting graphic elements lend the brand depth and breadth.
A monoline grid system emphasizes our commitment to process and clarity, showing the intentional structure and rigorous framework behind each project.
The triangular “space between” element appears throughout the brand as a visual reminder of where design truly lives. Not in the environment alone, but in the relationships it creates: between people and place, destinations and journey, buildings and communities.
The Space Between
At its core, this brand reflects how we see our role as architects.
We believe design is always about people first; we create transformative designs that connect between people and place. This brand gives voice and form to that belief. It is more focused, more intentional, and more aligned with the work we do each day.
We’re proud to share it, and we look forward to continuing to design places that are human-centered and built to last.
Here’s to all the good work ahead.
