Cypress Trinity Groves Master Plan is located in the heart of Trinity Groves, placing residential living directly above a vibrant mix of retail, restaurants, and neighborhood amenities. Across the street, the district’s celebrated independent restaurant collective anchors daily life with a dynamic, walkable energy. The community is seamlessly connected to downtown Dallas by the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge, now experienced as a linear park and outdoor amenity. Above, a sky terrace and illuminated sky bridge create elevated gathering spaces with sweeping skyline views, reinforcing Cypress as an integral part of this lively urban destination.

Challenge

Cypress at Trinity Groves needed to respond to West Dallas’ rapid transition while aligning with the evolving mixed-use character of the Trinity Groves district. The challenge was to introduce higher-density housing that felt walkable and livable, while respecting the area’s industrial heritage, active restaurant culture, and proximity to major civic landmarks.

Solution

JHP developed a mixed-use master plan that layers residential uses above active retail and dining, reinforcing a pedestrian-oriented streetscape. The plan incorporates elevated amenities, including a sky terrace with downtown views and a connecting sky bridge that unifies the buildings and creates a distinctive nighttime presence. Clear pedestrian connections and a cohesive public realm organize the site and support daily activity.

Cypress at Trinity Groves contributes to the district’s transformation into a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood by increasing residential density, supporting local businesses, and enhancing walkability.
