4600 Ross

Project Details:

4600 Ross introduces contemporary apartment living to Old East Dallas, positioned between the lively districts of Deep Ellum and Lower Greenville. The community places residents close to dining, music venues, and cultural destinations while remaining just minutes from downtown. Designed with a modern urban character, the building features expansive windows, high ceilings, and shared spaces that encourage relaxation and connection. Outdoor lounges, a resort-style pool, and a sky deck overlooking the Dallas skyline create places to gather, unwind, and enjoy the city from above.

Challenge

4600 Ross required a design that could elevate an emerging urban corridor in East Dallas while sensitively transitioning between the dense Ross Avenue commercial spine and the adjacent single-family neighborhoods. The challenge was to introduce modern multifamily living without overwhelming the surrounding context, all while activating the streetscape and supporting walkability.

Solution

JHP designed a contemporary mixed-use residential community with thoughtful massing, activated ground-level edges, and carefully framed courtyards that bring light and air deep into the site. Materials and scale respond to the neighborhood fabric, while amenities and circulation patterns create a connected, pedestrian-friendly environment.

Impact

4600 Ross strengthens a rapidly evolving district, providing high-quality housing, improving the public realm, and contributing to the ongoing revitalization of East Dallas.
