City of Irving Comprehensive Plan | Irving, TX

The DFW site is one of three Small Area Studies undertaken as part of the City of Irving ‘s Comprehensive Plan Update being lead by the Fregonese Associates Planning Team. The site is approx. 100 acres of land accumulated by the DFW Airport located east of State Hwy 161 – bounded by Northgate Dr to the north and Rochelle Rd to the South. Historically developed as single family residential communities, this area was purchased by DFW airport for noise abatement with funds from the FAA. Our key development concepts incorporate an international commercial aspect which resonates among the variety of cultural institutions found within this immediate area as well as the overall demographic representation of the City of Irving. A regenerative and active outdoor park space is another key element which corresponds to the needs of West Irving. General commercial and office is located along State Highway 161’s service road frontage allowing for visibility and access.
