The second phase of the development, known as Brookside Classic residences, consists of 132 units of multifamily housing and was completed in 2016. The third phase of the development (also Brookside Classic) consists of 138 additional units of multifamily for families, including 1,2,3 and 4-bedroom units. Construction was completed in 2017. The properties have successfully leased including a mix of incomes of approximately one-third (1/3) public housing, one-third (1/3) workforce housing at 60 percent AMI rents, and one-third (1/3) at market rate. Columbia Residential property Management professionally manages the properties and works closely with the Athens Housing Authority on services specifically for public housing residents.
